It Shall Be

When we’re faced with what seems like an insurmountable obstacle, having faith in a positive outcome can be a challenge. In the natural, the problem can look overwhelmingly huge, but that’s just the time to bring our faith into play. The world may tell us the situation is hopeless, and that what we hope and pray for will never happen. What it doesn’t know is that when we believe we have supernatural authority to speak “It shall be” to whatever mountain blocks us in our Christian walk, we can knock it out of our way.

This authority comes from Jesus Christ, Himself.
“…For verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20). Faith is deliberately agreeing with what God says about a situation, regardless of what it seems like in the natural. God has no limitations, which is why we’re freed from them when we think like Him.

In the Old Testament, the children of Israel had to take God at His Word, using their faith as a compass to guide them. What He said may not have made sense to their intellectual minds at the time, but when they moved forward according to His directions, nothing could stop them.
“And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage” (Deuteronomy 6:10-12). God began His promise to them with the words “It shall be;” agreeing with it brought it to pass.

During His earthly ministry, Jesus constantly came into contact with individuals who struggled with faith when faced with seemingly impossible circumstances. Despite His teachings, He often had to follow up with demonstrations for unbelieving people to show them that trusting in God’s ability brings tangible results. Whether it was healing the sick or casting out demons, Jesus emphasized the faith aspect in everything He did.
“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23).

Many people don’t understand the power of faith, which can actually create something out of nothing. Everything in the natural begins in the spiritual, and just because we can’t see something with our physical eyes doesn’t mean it isn’t real.
“…Before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were” (Romans 4:17). In the beginning, God spoke into nothingness by faith and created an ordered, structured universe. We have the same power.

When we declare a thing, following up our declaration with action begins the process of bringing it into manifestation. Belief that’s strong enough brings about acts of faith.
“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone” (James 2:17). By faith, Ezekiel followed God’s instructions and prophesied to dead men, and they came to life (Ezekiel 37:10). Whatever it is we believe God for, we’ve been authorized to make it so.
