Ethel J. Bolton Scholarship Benefit Concert
Affectionately known as "Everybody's Mama," Nana dedicated her entire
career to the field of education. She understood how vital it is to expose
young minds to information, and equip them with the skills necessary to
contribute to society, and make a mark in this world. Nana was a highly
gifted communicator with a unique, "to the point" style.
She was a motivator, and an encourager who had a profound impact on thousands
upon thousands of young lives. Even as she began to have health challenges
later in life, she was still a role model to all of us, refusing to allow
her physical struggles to darken her outlook, or steal her joy. The mission
of the Ethel J. Bolton Scholarship Fund is simple — to offer college tuition
assistance to outstanding high school seniors who may not otherwise have
an opportunity to go to college. The funds raised by this concert event
will be utilized to bless the lives of some very deserving future leaders.
Please reserve March 29 on your calendar as we come together to honor
Ethel Bolton, by demonstrating our commitment to what she loved; nurturing
and encouraging young people through education. In addition to an outstanding
slate of musical guests, we will take time to reflect on Nana’s contributions
to all of our lives. It promises to be a powerful time of fellowship and
celebration in support of a most worthy cause. Our goal is to raise $50,000
through ticket sales, offerings, and contributions. Please prayerfully
consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Ethel J. Bolton Scholarship
Fund at your earliest opportunity. You may bring your contributions to
the concert event, or mail them to: Ethel J. Bolton Scholarship Fund,
2500 Burdett Road, College Park, GA 30349.
Thank you so much for your willingness to share with us in this endeavor.
Together, we can honor a wonderful woman, while blessing the lives of
the young people she loved so much. I look forward to seeing you at the
concert!
