Women's Ministry Interest Group Descriptions
Business
The business group's objective is to encourage and empower women with basic business
know-how. Business development and general business principles will be covered in
each activity. Business professionals at all stages of their careers will gain practical
wisdom on how to become more successful as business owners, supervisors or employees.
Community Service
This group will bring to life biblical principles of serving others and meeting
their needs, by working hand-in-hand with many of the outreach ministries of World
Changers Church International. They will learn how to be effective in tending to
the practical needs of people and demonstrating the love of God through community
service projects.
Decorative Arts
This group is for women who have interests in arts and crafts, interior design,
and decorative arts such as floral arrangement and fashion. Their objective is to
allow these women to fellowship with one another so that they may learn how to improve
their skills/hobbies in a fun and easy-to-learn atmosphere.
Fine Arts
The group will allow women who have an interest in entertainment, cultural activities,
and social outings to fellowship with like-minded women. In addition, their activities
will allow them to learn some foundational facts about the different disciplines
within the arts. They will be able to enjoy their interests with one another while
at the same time enhancing their knowledge in this area.
Reading and Writing
This group has a passion for the written word. Whether through poetry, books, or
magazines, women in this group will be able to participate in interactive reading.
They will also be afforded educational development opportunities to enhance their
reading and writing skills. For those who love creative writing, this group will
give women an opportunity to share poetry and other works they have created to the
glory of God.
Sports
This group will enjoy sporting and physical activities, which are a vital element
of a balanced and healthy lifestyle. There will be non-participatory sports-related
activities made available that include attending sporting events; participatory
opportunities such as tournaments and leagues; exercise programs like aerobics or
walking; recreational games such as ping pong or billiards; and board games.
