When the Lord started dealing with me about the value of His blood, He said, “I want you to receive what you are believing for through the blood of Jesus.” I simply agreed. That night I wanted to experience peaceful sleep so I began to proclaim that I believed I received it. Then He spoke again and asked, “Do you believe that my blood has made provision for you to have sweet sleep?” As I reflected on the scriptures that confirm God wants us to rest well, I confessed again, “Lord I believe that I receive restful sleep through the blood of Jesus.” The next thing I knew I was waking up to a new morning.

Many of us know that Jesus shed His blood to wipe away our sins and that His sacrifice brought us into right relationship with God, but do we know that His blood has bought us so much more? Most of us know about the blood of Jesus, but do not know how to appropriate it in our daily lives.

We must understand the entirety of what Jesus’ sacrifice has done for us, as it relates to our daily Christian walk. How do we do that? We do so by proclaiming what we have a right to, through and by the blood of Jesus. In order to lay hold of the promises, we must get our mouths involved in the process.

Speaking the Word of God concerning what the blood has made available to us is how we activate our faith. Believing in the blood of Jesus releases an awesome provision! If we should ever begin to doubt that power, we can reflect on our how much God has already done for us through the sacrifice of His dear Son. Understand that every provision, miracle, and answered prayer we have received is a result of the precious blood of Jesus. God honors us not so much because of how great we are, but because of our acceptance of Jesus. We have access to the throne of God and we are accepted by the Father because of the blood. 

I want to encourage you to begin to apply the blood of Jesus in your prayer time and in all that you do. Below are some confessions you can make to activate the blood of Jesus in your personal life:

I believe I receive the manifestation of my healing through the blood of Jesus.
I believe my children are saved, and serving God in righteousness and true holiness through the blood.
I believe I receive victory in my life through the blood.
I believe every need in my household is met through the blood of Jesus.
I believe I receive the money to pay my bills through the blood of Jesus.
I believe I receive a healthy marriage through the blood of Jesus.
I believe I receive a godly mate through the blood of Jesus.  
I believe I receive joy, peace, and righteousness through the blood.
I believe I receive deliverance from fear through the blood.

No devil in hell can defeat a Christian who knows his or her authority and what they have a right to because of the blood of Jesus. It is up to us to meditate on the power of the blood and apply it to our circumstances every day. All the power of Heaven immediately moves into action when the blood is released in the spiritual realm, so put it to work today!
