“Calling things that be not as though they were,” is a phrase most Christians can repeat without a thought. They have heard it, said it, and also read it in Scripture. Yet very few of them realize the magnitude of this concept. It is much more than some Christian catch phrase; it is how God operates.
When striving to go to the next level in life, we must realize that our mouth is the vehicle that is going to drive us there. God has already done everything He is ever going to do, and it is our job to apprehend what has already been made available to us. How do we do that? By calling it in!
Your mouth is the creative hub of your life. It is an instrument that produces life; with it, you can birth anything you desire to see according to the Word of God. However, in order to do so you must skillfully choose your words based on the Word of God, not what you see. I want you to clearly understand that anything you can see is subject to change. If you can see it, you can use your faith and the Word of God to change it.
As children of God, we do not put our faith in things that can be seen or experienced with our sensory mechanisms—touch, sight, sound, or smell. Instead, we look to the things that are unseen. That is exactly what God does. In Genesis 1, God called “light” when it was still darkness. Likewise, you and I must do the same thing.
In order to experience change, we have to become proficient in this principle. Calling into being things that have not manifested will replace things that currently exist. Notice, however, this principle is not denying the thing that exists. Denial alone won’t produce manifestation. In fact, this is why so many Believers are not seeing manifestation of the things they desire—they are spending too much time denying what they see, versus calling in what they desire to see.
Calling in what you desire will replace what already exists. It will completely nullify the problem, and that is what God is trying to get you to do. He gave you healing, deliverance, prosperity, and peace; now He needs you to just pull it in.
For years, the enemy has attempted to seduce Believers into paying more attention to the things we can perceive with our physical senses, rather than walking by faith. However, that is not God’s method. God uses His Word to change things that currently exist. This is how He created Heaven and Earth. So likewise, you and I can create the life we want with our words.
Spend time every day, every hour, if possible, declaring what you desire to see come to pass from the Word of God. Change your words, and you will change your life. Start today!
