Victory Over Sinful Behavior

By Creflo Dollar

Summary

Christians are under severe attack from the enemy; in this spiritual battle we’re fighting, our minds are the battlefield and the arena of faith. The devil relies heavily on suggestion to contradict what God has said to us; the person who doesn’t know their God is open to deception. Not even born-again believers are exempt from Satan’s attacks; he’ll try to make our love grow cold so that we no longer care what the Bible says. In God’s eyes, our righteousness isn’t because we do right, but because of our belief in Jesus; we mustn’t let the devil’s lies shake us from this. Our trust in Christ makes us righteous before the Father, even when we don’t deserve it.

The Gift of Righteousness vs. the Curse of Sin

By Creflo Dollar

Summary

When we get born again, we receive a new nature and become as perfect and flawless in God’s eyes as Jesus Himself. God sees everyone who has accepted Christ as completely righteous; however, we’ll still continue falling short and committing sinful acts while on our Christian journey. The difference between the old and the new is that God no longer holds our sins against us because our old, sinful selves have died. Our righteousness is permanent, and we can never sin it away. Full confidence in what Christ did on the cross for us changes our thinking, corrects our behavior, and results in a decision to reject sin.

How to Honor Your Mother

By Creflo Dollar

Summary

Honoring and respecting our mothers is part of God’s moral law; it’s His will that we esteem and value them. This is important when children are young, but absolutely critical when they become adults themselves. God is serious about this; in our current environment that doesn’t respect parents or the elderly, this law carries even more weight. Being a blessing to our mothers by treating them well enables God to bless us as well.

Understanding the Essence of Grace

By Creflo Dollar

Summary

A relationship with Jesus Christ is more than just working the mechanics of Christianity. To know Jesus is to know the grace of God, personally. We must not become so principle-minded that we no longer know the one who gave us the principles. It is essential for us as Christians not to get hung up on doing the right things for the sake of performing, but to discover the essence of Jesus, who is love. What was true under the law may no longer be true under grace. The truth is that we need Jesus and have always needed Him; we cannot succeed in anything without Him. We remain humble and avoid pride and self- righteousness by always remembering that we are nothing without Him.

Maintaining Your Righteous Stance (Part 2)

By Creflo Dollar

Summary

The coming year will be a pivotal point for Christians; the changes it will bring include a split within the church in which people fall away from the faith and their love grows cold. There will be plenty of slander, conflict, and offense, and people will compromise their values; however, we’ll recover from that. Globally, governments will team up and become allies in preparation for the anti-Christ, whose mission it will be to destroy God’s church; on a personal level, there will be a vicious attack on our souls, in which the devil will try to get us to question our righteousness in Christ. He’ll use shame, guilt, and condemnation over our past mistakes and sins to accomplish this. However, our identity is based not on what we do, but on what Jesus did; standing firm on this in the midst of Satan’s attacks keeps us spiritually safe.
