The Full Meaning of Grace

By Creflo Dollar

Summary

Growing to maturity is part of life. This is true not just on the physical level, but also on the spiritual level. When we get born again, God saves us by grace; He then immediately begins working in us to grow us up from spiritual infants to fully mature adults in Christ. He does this through the Holy Spirit, who demonstrates to us God’s infinite love and undeserved favor.

How to be Trained by Grace

By Creflo Dollar

Summary

As New-Testament believers, a solid understanding of the covenant under which we live gives us a true picture of God. Grace and truth are not separate; grace is the truth and is Jesus Christ, Himself. Grace is God’s undeserved, unmerited favor; it doesn’t excuse sin, but instead teaches us to live godly lifestyles by changing us from the inside out. Submitting ourselves to grace allows the Holy Spirit to work in us to the point where we want to please God and not just ourselves. It frees us from the self-effort and rule- keeping that was prevalent, but unsuccessful, under the law.

How to Be Well-Adjusted Without Even Trying

By Taffi Dollar

Summary

Being well-adjusted is all about how we think. It begins with renewing our minds according to God’s Word, which is required to fulfill the mission that He gave us. Embracing God’s mindset protects us from the world’s attitudes and beliefs. As the god of this world, Satan tries to infiltrate our thinking by making the culture of our environment seem attractive. However, God has given us power to resist wrong mindsets and choose for ourselves what to believe. Choosing to think His thoughts instead of the enemy’s thoughts connects us to the authority Jesus gave us to resist the devil’s suggestions. Learning to think differently changes the entire trajectory of our lives.

Recognizing the Power of Thoughts

By Taffi Dollar

Summary

Our thoughts profoundly influence the direction of our lives. What we think determines what happens to us; as free moral agents with authority over our minds, we must always be ready for Satan’s attack on our thoughts and emotions. He wants to establish strongholds in our minds and permanently set up residency there; his goal is to defeat and destroy us by trapping us with negative thinking. This is destructive and deadly; not only does wrong thinking affect our relationships with others, but it also destroys our mental and physical health over time. We win the battle by learning to think like God and letting Him shape our thinking. When the devil tries to feed his thoughts to our minds, we defeat him by pushing back and believing what God says instead. Planting His Word in our minds like a seed and letting it grow allows it to cast out all the enemy’s lies and renew our minds to God’s truth.

How to Sort Out the Drama Life Brings

By Taffi Dollar

Summary

Life has a way of throwing adversity at us at the most inopportune times. It’s unreasonable to expect our lives to always be smooth and free of trouble and trauma; we therefore must be prepared to handle situations as they arise. Some people seem to create dramatic situations where there are none because of the way they think; however, as free moral agents, we have the choice of whether or not to accept the drama. We avoid turbulence and find peace by allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us in this area, point out our problematic thinking and behavior, and help us correct it..

Victory Over Sinful Behavior

By Creflo Dollar

Summary

Christians are under severe attack from the enemy; in this spiritual battle we’re fighting, our minds are the battlefield and the arena of faith. The devil relies heavily on suggestion to contradict what God has said to us; the person who doesn’t know their God is open to deception. Not even born-again believers are exempt from Satan’s attacks; he’ll try to make our love grow cold so that we no longer care what the Bible says. In God’s eyes, our righteousness isn’t because we do right, but because of our belief in Jesus; we mustn’t let the devil’s lies shake us from this. Our trust in Christ makes us righteous before the Father, even when we don’t deserve it.
